The scouts of Troop 109 just completed their annual Mini High Adventure today. The annual trip timed over spring break included canyoneering in Minnow Canyon near Apache Lake, backpacking to Reavis Ranch and a whitewater river run on the Salt River.

Troop 109′s Mini-High Adventure program is designed to reward active scouts and let them experience an outing that is longer and more challenging than regular weekend outings. Typically 5 days long and held during the Paradise Vally Unified School District spring break, Troop 109 has taken scouts to many great places including the Channel Islands (of the coast of Los Angeles), Havasupai in the Grand Canyon, Colorado River canoeing and a caving trip to the Chiricahua Mountains that got the Troop national press when the trip was featured on the front page of Scouting Magazine.
