Awesome Campout to Kennedy Ranch

April 25, 2010 – Troop 109 had an awesome campout at Kennedy Ranch in the Superstition Wilderness. Scout instructors trained over 20 adults in outdoor skills. Scouts took a nice day hike down to Oak Flat. Chef Red and crew made his famous Cajun meatloaf with jalapeno gravy, fresh mashed potatoes and corn. With 88 people in attendance, we had a great campfire that night.

Palace Station 2009

Troop 109 just had its annual outing to the historic Palace Station. This year, we chopped down over 30 dead trees killed by a recent forest fire. We used some of them to repair the fence at Palace Station.

Yosemite High Adventure – Log Cabin Wilderness Camp

Troop 109 spent a great week in the beautiful backcountry of Yosemite National Park. The excursion started and finished at the BSA Log Cabin Wilderness Camp – highest Boy Scout camp in America at 9,600 ft. elevation. Check out the video of our great week in the wild!
